And in other news, the NDP pull off a surprising victory.
Anyone else notice how the mainstream media is really down playing the NDP victory, and is instead focusing on the Liberal loss? CTV and CBC did not even play Mulcair’s victory speech! CTV sure enough played Dion’s “losing” speech though. I had to watch CPAC to see any coverage from the NDP camp.
While I do not expect the media to be as excited as I am as a party member. I do expect them to report news. This is just bad journalism.
But congratulations to Mulcair and Layton! Great job! I’m always optimistic when it comes to elections… I believe that if you don’t have an optimistic attitude, you are destined to lose. You should always have a positive attitude, even when the situation doesn’t look good.
I do feel a whole lot more optimistic about Canadian politics as a whole. Lets hope that other ridings start seeing the NDP as a real viable option.
